Bright pink Madagascan sapphire, unheated, from the Ilakaka region. I bought this stone from a local miner during my visit to the island in 2016 and had it cut on site by a local lapidary. Its natural cut is well balanced, so I kept it as it is because it is very beautiful. The stone has small crystalline inclusions typical of its origin, which do not detract from its beauty as they are barely visible to the naked eye. The stone comes with a report from the AIGS laboratory in Bangkok certifying its natural and untreated character.
